Believe it or Not- Only 222 calories per slice. An orange and lemon cake with a secret ingredient. I am sure if I tell you what it is, you wouldnt try it. haha I was surprised how good this cake tasted. But i guess its a good thing when you can make a cake that looks good, tastes good, and is low in calories.

Its My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To
I am 19 years old today. I wanted to make my own birthday cake this year so i could practice. My family laughed at that. I guess everyone thought that its a little strange to make your own birthday cake. But i didnt care. So thats what i did. I put fondant over the cake for a smooth look. I also dyed the frosting underneath to give it a light pink textured look. The flowers are not edible. I am still learning how to do that. So maybe by my next cake, i may put some on that one. I painted silver glitter crystals on the cake to give it a little bit of a sparkle. It seemed to be a big hit at my birthday party. The cake didnt turn out exactly how i imagined it to look like, but im happy with the over all result.
FIRE HAZARD!!! well i thought the flowers might catch on fire but i wanted a picture of the cake all lit up. So after i took this picture, it started to go up in flames. But i quickly put it out and made a wish (i think). It was a funny moment, and no one got seriously hurt. Just a little burnt finger.
A Chick-fil-A Delight
I am a team leader at Chick-fil-A and i am also in charge of putting together a birthday present for everyone when their birthday comes up in the year. I have been practicing making desserts. This is the first cake i made out of fondant. I also made these cows out of modeling chocolate. The whole cake is edible except for the ribbon. I was very happy with the result and so was the person i surprised with this cake.
I am excited through this up coming year to create some more delicious treats for my co-workers. It definately gives me an excuse to be creative and try new things.
